Suppliers are finally held to account

PAYING their dues became the increasing concern of an older couple desperate to settle outstanding household bills and close accounts after moving home.
Crusader came to the rescue of an older couple caught in a financial maze
But what they thought would have been done and dusted quickly wasn’t. Six months after completion and relocation while continuing to pay standing charges on utilities, Rob Payne and his wife Daphne were still waiting for final bills and fearing they might even end up being chased for nonpayment.
To end the limbo they asked Crusader for help and we agreed so at least they were on the radar of water supplier Affinity, energy provider British Gas and local authority Barnet.
The speedy responses were heartening with British Gas first off the mark, the bill settled, account closed and a goodwill gesture of £100 for the couple.
