Sky's the limit for zipline charity fundraiser aged 93

A WOMAN of 93 has become the oldest person to zipline over the Clyde and she did it all in aid of a charity she helped to start 60 years ago.

Mae Whiteford took to the sky to raise funds for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland, the charity she helped co-found in 1965.

To mark the charity's 60th anniversary year, Mae volunteered to zipline across the Clyde to boost funds. Zipslide the Clyde is a 100ft high, 1,245ft long adrenalin adventure, from a crane next to Glasgow's Riverside Museum. SBH Scotland was founded by families whose children were born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and wanted to support each other.
