ROSLER LEADING PITTODRIE RACE

UWE ROSLER has emerged as a leading candidate for the vacant Aberdeen job.

Pittodrie sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel is leading the search for Jimmy Thelin's replacement.

The current VfL Bochum manager is a prominent name on his wanted list, but it remains to be seen if the 57-year-old would leave Bochum for Pittodrie.

Pfannenstiel had previously named Rosler as his head coach when they were at Fortuna Dusseldorf back in 2020.

The new boss came in, but a few weeks later the sporting director asked to leave his Fortuna role for personal reasons.

Rosler has retained close links with Pfannenstiel and BPTC Sports, who did a complete review of Aberdeen's footballing operation back in 2024.
