MCILROY HAS TO BRING BACK HIS OLD HUNGER

- By Andy Dunn

IN terms of natural ability and bravura shot-making, Rory McIlroy will go down as one of the greatest golfers to have played the game.

Most observers - and fellow professionals would have him down as the most gifted operator in the modern era, even though the world ranking system has American Scottie Scheffler as the runaway No.1.

But McIlroy is certainly the most watchable.

He also happens to be one of the most charismatic sportsmen generation.

Oh, and in terms of the history books, McIlroy has a place in an elite chapter, being only one of six golfers to have won all four Majors, Grand Slam.

But his final legacy will, to a large extent, be by defined how he follows up that wonderful achievement in The Masters at Augusta National earlier this year.
