PM finally backtracks on his trans women comments

SIR Keir Starmer has finally backtracked on his claim that “trans women are women” following the Supreme Court’s judgement.

The Prime Minister said he was “really pleased” with the judges’ decision last week that a woman is defined by biological sex under equalities law.

He made the comments as equalities minister Bridget Phillipson said transgender women should use male toilets.

Sir Keir previously suggested trans women should be treated as women in all respects and said in 2022: “A woman is a female adult, and in addition to that trans women are women, and that is not just my view — that is actually the law.”
