McMASTER PINPOINTS CYPRIOT AS SAINTS THREAT

DEAN McMASTER remembers the Alex Gogic who went out of his way to usher him into the Buddies inner circle.

Now he says the key to upsetting the odds on their reunion is staying out of the Cypriot's sphere.

The Airdrie No.6 is preparing for his first competitive showdown with St Mirren since his decade in Paisley ended in 2023.

McMaster said: "He's so aggressive, it's tough to play against. He's a good player and really kicked on since I left.

"When people are talking about certain players in the division above them, how good they've been, it's always a good incentive to do well against them and prove to people you can compete at that level and play at that level as well.
