MSPs in line for above inflation pay hike to £77k

MSPS can look forward to a 4.3% pay rise in April, well above the official UK inflation rate.
It means the basic wage will increase from £74,507 to £77,710.
Tory MSP Jackson Carlaw a member of the cross-party Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body notified the Finance and Public Administration Committee of the decision yesterday.
The pay will rise by 4.3% in line with the annualised average weekly earnings index for September 2025.
