Lessons learned as Scots kick off

SCOTLAND head coach Bryan Easson reckons the experience in his team can make the difference today when they take on Wales in their first World Cup pool match in Salford.

The Scots lost all three of their matches at the last World Cup back in 2022, including the opener against the Welsh.

But, three years on, Easson is convinced they are more battle-hardened, and his captain, Rachel Malcolm, is now widely regarded as one of the best leaders in world rugby.
