Kartal meets her match at Queen's

SONAY KARTAL'S run at the Queen's Club came to a disappointing end at the hands of No.8 seed Amanda Anisimova.

The British No.3 earned the biggest win of her career against world No.16 Daria Kasatkina in the opening round on Monday but could not repeat her efforts against Anisimova. The American raced into a 4-0 lead in 15 minutes and lost just one game in the first set.

Kartal, below, broke to start the second but dropped six of the next eight games to lose 6-1 6-3.
