JASON HOLT feels the bad memories flooding back when he sees certain celebratory pictures around McDiarmid Park.

Jason wants to put himself in the picture as a Saints winner

But the Perth midfielder is thrilled to be in the frame now to help St Johnstone add to their silverware haul.

Holt suffered as part of the Livingston side beaten by Saints in the 2020/21 League Cup final — the first leg of a terrific trophy double.

The Perth men had been poor in knockout tournaments since that glory year until Simo Valakari’s side stormed through to reach Sunday’s mouthwatering Scottish Cup semi-final clash with holders Celtic.

Holt starred a fortnight ago as Saints stunned Brendan Rodgers’ men 1-0 in the Premiership.

Now they aim to repeat the trick at Hampden and book a shot at a third Scottish Cup final triumph in 11 years.
