MADELEINE McCann suspect Christian Brueckner is reportedly being denied day release from jail because prison guards refuse to be seen with him in public.
He is serving a seven-year sentence after he was convicted of raping a woman in 2005 in the same part of Portugal from where the three-year-old went missing in May 2007.
