Kris knew Celts were vulnerable

- BY FRASER WILSON

KRISZTIAN KERESZTES admits Dundee United fed off Celtic's horror run of results to end their own winless streak in Wednesday's tumultuous Tannadice fightback.

Jim Goodwin's men produced a stunning second-half turn around to secure a first victory over the Hoops in 11 years and condemn Wilfried Nancy's side to a fourth straight defeat.

Keresztes slammed home a 58th minute equaliser to cancel Daizen Maeda’s opener before Zac Sapsford produced a wonderful finish four minutes later.

United had gone seven without a victory, stretching back to October, going into the match.

But Keresztes says they knew Celtic were “in good shape’.

And the giant Hungarian defender insists the victory — achieved after a halftime masterclass from Goodwin - has answered some of the criticism aimed at United's defenders.

He said: “This is our job, we have to do it.

“If you let yourself down a little bit, or you are not concentrated 100 per cent, they will have chances and if they have chances they will score, it's that simple.

“We have to reduce the chances and I think we did pretty well against Celtic.
