HIBERNIAN boss David Gray expects Martin Boyle to rise to the occasion in tomorrow's derby with Hearts at Easter Road, despite the attacker's future the subject of uncertainty and speculation.

The Australia international is entering the final six months of his current deal and has indicated he will wait until the summer to consider his next move.

Boyle has scored four goals in his last 11 league outings against the Jambos, and Gray has backed his 32-year-old talisman to continue producing the goods, regardless of his contract situation.

He added: “Naturally the conversations start to happen - not just with Boyle, but anyone who's out of the contract.

“You want to have the conversations to find out exactly where they'll land.
