ON THE UP Harry Milne is thrilled to have earned fresh deal at Tynecastle

- BY DARREN JOHNSTONE

HARRY MILNE is delighted that he has proven he deserves to be at Hearts after signing a new deal.

The versatile wing-back put pen to paper on a contract until summer 2027 last Friday after joining on an initial 18-month agreement from Partick Thistle in January.

After having to bide his time last season as James Penrice shone, Milne has flourished this term after his teammate made a £2million summer switch to AEK Athens.

Milne, who has started all seven of the league leaders' Premiership games in the current campaign, said: "I'm obviously delighted. When I first came in it was a short-term contract.
