ANNAN captain and joiner Tommy Muir is feeling the full support of the local community ahead of their trip to Ibrox - including the customer who helped save him from a day on his knees before kickoff.

The defender and most of his teammates will have a full day at work before taking on Rangers in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup fourth round tonight.

But the 28-year-old at least has some control over his duties.

“I’m a self-employed joiner so I've made sure I'm off the tools on Friday,” he revealed.

“I'll still be busy during the day pricing up jobs and other things, but I will cut down on the physical side of it.
