Dons focused on lead role, says Shinnie

|August 28, 2025
CAPTAIN Graeme Shinnie has been in this trailer before, but missed out on the movie.
This time he is determined to lead Aberdeen all the way on to the red carpet of the Europa League proper.
The Dons are in Bucharest looking for the win tomorrow evening that would see off FCSB and avoid a repeat of the missed opportuntiy they had two season ago against BK Hacken.
After drawing 2-2 in Gothenburg, the Dons lost 3-1 at Pittodrie and had to settle for life in the Conference League.
“Hacken was a big opportunity for us,” said the Dons skipper. “You put yourself in this position to get these opportunities and you need to try and take them.
“It was definitely a disappointment.
