O'Neill leads tributes to a true racing great
PETER EASTERBY was hailed as a 'great man' and a 'genius' yesterday following the death of the Yorkshire trainer who excelled at both codes at the age of 95.
Best known for his handling of the legendary dual Champion Hurdle winners Night Nurse and Sea Pigeon, Easterby founded a Yorkshire racing dynasty which includes brother Mick and son Tim.
