Gift to Braga typifies costly errors hampering Gers' progress under new boss Rohl, says Barron

- BY SCOTT MCDERMOTT

CONNOR BARRON admits Rangers risk undoing their progress under new manager Danny Rohl if they don't cut out the defensive howlers.

Midfielder Barron knows it was an opportunity lost against Braga at Ibrox on Thursday after being in the driving seat.

The 26-year-old was one of his side's best performers in their 1-1 Europa League draw against the Portuguese visitors but still came off the pitch exasperated that they didn't pick up a muchneeded win.

After leading through James Tavernier's penalty just before half-time, they then had a man advantage when midfielder Rodrigo Zalazar was sent off.

However, sloppiness again proved Gers' undoing.

Nasser Djiga's misplaced header from a harmless cross allowed Braga to equalise and leave Glasgow with a point.

It was another moment to forget for on-loan Wolves centrehalf Djiga, who has struggled since arriving at Ibrox.

Barron accepts Gers have to be far more decisive in both boxes if they're going to be successful.
