Covid decisions ‘taken in good faith’

THE Deputy First Minister last night claimed that every decision taken by the Scottish Government during the Covid crisis was "taken in good faith".

Kate Forbes was responding after an official report into the UK's handling of the pandemic severely criticised ex-SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon.

But last night, critics questioned the timing of the Scottish Government's response.

Speaking to Holyrood, Ms Forbes said it was vital to "learn lessons from the pandemic to make improvements for the future". She stated: "Covid was a unique virus which presented governments across the world with unprecedented challenges.
