Rodgers defends striker in wake of social media video

BRENDAN RODGERS has defended Adam Idah and insists it's sad that players can't relax without being trapped on film.

The Celtic boss has confirmed he learned the full story from the Irish striker after a video was circulated on social media this week which appeared to show the hitman worse for wear and vomiting in a taxi.

Rodgers revealed Idah contacted him quickly to give his full version of events.

The Hoops boss was both supportive and satisfied with the explanation and insists it is a shame that stars are exposed to such scenarios. Rodgers also feels situations pieced together in order to look worse for young stars sadly means individuals have to be guarded and may deny kids dream moments.
