Brother of racist killer jailed for funeral attack

THE thug brother of Kriss Donald’s racist killer has been jailed over a vicious attack on a mourner at a funeral.

Ahsan Shahid punched Usman Munir outside a mosque, leaving his victim with serious injuries.

The 40-year-old was enraged because of a comment said to have been made by the victim.

Glasgow Sheriff Court was told yesterday that Mr Munir, 36, had once referred to Shahid’s wife as a “yummy mummy” in a message.

Shahid, of Thornliebank, East Renfrewshire, was jailed for 27 months after admitting assaulting his victim to his severe injury and permanent impairment.

The court heard the two men had history with each other. The incident occurred at Mr Shahid’s aunt’s funeral which was held at Glasgow’s Masjid-E-Khazra Mosque in October 2023.
