ONE of five military horses that made global headlines by bolting through central London has been retired.

Quaker and the other Life Guards mounts were spooked by the sound of building rubble falling in Belgravia and unseated their riders before racing off.

The horses hit vehicles including a double-decker bus, and four people needed treatment for injuries in April last year.
