When Chester Mayor Stefan Roots was campaigning for the office he now holds, he promised to fix City Hall and to improve communication between city government and the residents, and it appears he's making good on those promises.

Chester Revamps the Way it Communicates

One of the biggest complaints the people in the City of Chester have is the difficulty reaching City Hall and the various municipal departments when calling. Fantastic news, the City's officially upgrading to a new phone system. After some digging into the issue, it was found that the old system was outdated and beyond repair.

Upon speaking to a few of our residents, I found that they were under the impression that the phone system had been updated under the last administration; however, this is misinformation.

To be clear, there was no purchase or installation of a phone system during the last administration. This is a false narrative.
