'Being young and assertive terrifies people' — Jenna Ortega speaks out on industry challenges

AMERICAN actress Jenna Ortega recently featured on the cover of Vogue Mexico and Latin America for the September 2025 issue and shared what it’s like to be a young actress in Hollywood and what it’s like to not be heard.

She revealed during the interview that it terrifies her to not be able to voice her opinion on certain things as a young woman.

“Being young and assertive is intense for a lot of people. As a woman, I’ve always known what it’s like to not have a voice, and that terrifies me,” the 22-year-old actress shared.

Ortega shared that she never wants to find herself in that situation again, and she now prefers to speak out in a kind and professional manner.
