School's 'good' rating after work to improve

THERE was good news from Ofsted for a Runcorn school.

Main aspects of The Heath School on Clifton Road were said to be good following a two-day inspection.

The quality of education, the behaviour and attitudes of the pupils, their personal development and the leadership and management of the school were all said to be Good by a team of five Ofsted inspectors.

At a previous inspection the school was said to require improvement.

"The school is ambitious for all pupils' success," according to lead inspector Kevin Sexton.

Pupils were "polite and respectful" and teachers strive to help them grow as individuals.

Learners, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), succeed in an approach where everyone can be themselves.
