Developer's grant supports hedgehog conservation

Community garden group's £1,500 boost

Angela Hayler from The Wonky Garden and Redrow's Olivia O'Sullivan-Cook

THE Wonky Garden in Widnes has used a donation from Redrow’s community fund to support their hedgehog rescue network.

The group works hard to enhance the local environment by providing support for wildlife in the area through enriching biodiversity projects.

A group of volunteers maintains an acre of grounds at Ditton Community Centre on Dundalk Road while a second volunteer group focuses on rescuing, treating, rehabilitating and releasing injured and sick hedgehogs.
