£21k bid to keep RBL site operating

An online fundraising campaign effort has been launched in a bid to save the Halton Royal British Legion Club.
The campaign, which is targeting £21,000 is being led by Natalie Williams on the gofundme website.
The post on the site reads: "Save Halton Royal British Legion Club!
"Halton Royal British Legion Club is facing immediate closure due to inherited debt, and without urgent support we risk losing a cornerstone of our community. We are not just a social club - we are the beating heart of Runcorn.
"Over half the town's population have used our facilities at some point in the last 12 months, whether for Sunday lunches, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, or funerals.
