Protest against yellow claw by Jalandhar Development Authority in Urban Estate of Sultanpur Lodhi

Family expressed anger, said we are being made to feel like drug smugglers

High voltage drama took place in the holy city of Sultanpur Lodhi, when Jalandhar Development Authority, violating the rules, uprooted the interlock tiles installed on the roadside outside a kothi using yellow claw.

According to the information the concerned department had sent a notice to the owner of the said kothi on June 18, 2025, informing about some irregularities and said that the irregularities should be rectified within 30 days and then inform the office. Apart from this it was also said in the notice that if this is not done further action will be taken under section of Punjab Regional Town Planning and Development Act 1995. But on the contrary JE Ravisher Singh posted in Jalandhar Development Authority about 12 days after the notice was given, took action by running a yellow paw outside the said house on 30 June 2025.
