CI staff Barnala Arrests Members of a Gang Involved in thefts

Mohammad Sarfaraz Alam, IPS Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala while giving information to the press said, " During the special campaign being conducted against antisocial elements under the guidelines issued by the Honourable Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh, Barnala Police achieved great success when members of a gang of thieves were arrested under the supervision of Inspector Baljit Singh Incharge CI Staff Barnala.

It is noteworthy that on 18-092025, Khushwinder Singh son of Major Singh, resident of Pakho Basti, Shahna, had written his statement to the police that a person named Shashtri Pandit had told him about a gold urn buried in the courtyard of his house. Due to which on 10-08-2025, Shashtri Pandit along with another friend came to his house, who started his path puja. He asked for gold ornaments weighing about 03-04 tola lying in the house of the deponent for worship and then after performing path puja, he had put the gold ornaments back in the cupboard. The deponent and his family members fell asleep while performing path puja and Shashtri and his friend left their house.
