ERODING TRUST
FINANCIAL incompatibility has become one of the most under-discussed, yet most decisive pressures facing couples today.

MONEY rarely enters a relationship loudly. It slips in through shared Uber rides, weekend getaways, grocery receipts and unspoken expectations.
Then one day, it’s the loudest thing in the room.
Financial incompatibility has become one of the most under-discussed, yet most decisive pressures facing couples today.
According to a survey by Royal London, 62% of couples in the UK have argued over money, with overspending being the most common trigger for these disputes. Even more striking, research shows that 64% of couples label themselves as financially incompatible.
Financial incompatibility does not just cause arguments; it can erode trust, create resentment, and leave partners feeling like they are pulling in entirely different directions.

Why everything in SA feels harder than it should be
LIFE in South Africa often feels unusually demanding. Not because South Africans lack resilience or competence, but because everyday living has become an exercise in constant anticipation, adjustment and compensation.
