EMOTIONAL SCENES

- FAKIR HASSEN

ALMOST three decades after director JP Dutta's epic film Border, this sequel takes up the same theme of a real-life war between India and Pakistan in 1971 over what became the independent state of Bangladesh.

Directed this time by Anurag Singh, he highlights very well the emotional trauma caused by war not just for soldiers, but also for the families they leave behind. The theme is expanded to include the air force and navy, not just the army on land.
