Some of the winners at the Portsmouth SEND Appreciation Awards

The Portsmouth SEND Appreciation Awards is a new scheme which recognises the positive impact of individuals and groups across the city who support children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) up to the age of 25.

Organised by Portsmouth Parent Voice, the shortlist and winners were chosen by a panel of parents/carers, young people and professionals.

Cllr Nick Dorrington, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education at Portsmouth City Council said: "It was an honour to hear the inspiring accounts of the shortlisted candidates and winners at the awards ceremony.
