Mamabolo denies receiving court order

Politician Boy Mamabolo has denied receiving a Limpopo High Court order directing him to deactivate his social media account and refrain from making defamatory statements against Polokwane Mayor John Mpe and his family.

The order, issued by acting judge Suné du Plessis on July 15, surfaced on social media in recent days. It identifies Mpe as the applicant and Mamabolo as the sole respondent in the matter. Despite its public circulation, Mamabolo claims he was never officially served the court documents and only became aware of the ruling through media reports. "If I do receive the order, I intend to either appeal or apply for rescission of the judgment," Mamabolo told Polokwane Observer.
