Local businesswomen inducted as new Rotary E-Club president

Local businesswoman and former teacher, Maite Letsoalo was inducted as president of the Rotary E-Club of Baobab South Africa, at a gala luncheon at the APD Hall in the city on Saturday.
In her acceptance speech, Letsoalo shared an inspiring vision for the year ahead, focusing on growth, collaboration and deeper community engagement. She emphasised the importance of expanding the club's membership to introduce fresh ideas and infuse new energy, thereby strengthening both service capacity and fellowship.
She further encouraged club members to discover their unique purpose within the club and to contribute in meaningful ways that uplift those in need.
"Another key priority of the club is fostering stronger partnerships with local Rotary clubs to amplify impact through joint events, fundraisers and shared learning. The success of February's Rotary Potjiekos Competition stands out as a model of what collaboration can achieve," she said.
