Participation via joint ops

Residents in Pinelands were reminded that road safety and community protection requires joint effort during Operation Shanela II, a targeted safety roadblock held on Tuesday 17 February.

The two-hour operation, from 10:00 until noon, saw 91 vehicles checked and 100 people screened, resulting in 32 fines totalling R41 000.

The roadblock was set up on Jan Smuts Drive, identified by the police as a hotspot for traffic violations.
