Talented Eve sets standard in art contest

A Barrhead school pupil is in with the bricks after winning a competition to design a flag for a major housebuilder.
Youngsters at Hillview Primary School in the town were set the challenge by Taylor Wimpey West Scotland.
The talented children had to create the standard to welcome customers and visitors to its Arthurlie Gate development.
The winning design was created by Eve Lavety, with her entry having since been produced into a flag which now proudly flutters at the entrance to the site.
