Support for Renfrewshire veterans

Pensioners in Renfrewshire will have noticed the increase in their state pension thanks to the Labour government's commitment to the Pension Triple Lock which has resulted in a 4.1 per cent increase in the state pension.

This means that 33,496 recipients across Renfrewshire will have seen an increase in their pension this month.

The last few years have been particularly tough on pensioners and I am pleased that pensioners are starting to see some good news.

The Labour government is committed to delivering for our pensioners - ensuring their financial stability through the triple lock, fixing our NHS and public services, and targeting support towards those who need it most.

The government has also made other support available, by delivering the £150 Warm Home Discount for low-income households and extending the Household Support Fund with £742 million, to ensure local authorities can support pensioners and families that are struggling with the cost of living.
