Sheriff warns pervert for breaching court order to notify police

An Erskine man branded “every parent’s worst nightmare” after being caught sending a series of vile sexual messages to someone he thought was a 10-year-old girl has avoided punishment for failing to comply with initial court orders.

In November last year, creepy Mark Fraser admitted he sent an undercover cop - posing as a 10-year-old girl - a “series of messages” that were of an indecent nature where he discussed the sexual abuse of children.

Fraser, of Mains Wood, stated how being 10 was a “cute” and “sexy” age before claiming he had sexual interactions with a young girl who lived close to him.

Paisley Sheriff Court heard how vile Fraser sexually described the young girl’s body and commented on her breasts.

When he was sentenced in December, Sheriff Gillian Craig stated she was persuaded to take a step back from custody and instead ordered Fraser to carry out a total of 195 hours unpaid work in the community.
