Sentence warning for thug convicted of murder bid on cop

The sentencing of a man who chased a police officer with a chainsaw, shouting 'f*** the police' and tried to kill him has been delayed.
Attack Glasgow Road was locked down after Kastrati ran at police officers with a chainsaw
Liridon Kastrati was convicted of the attempted murder of PC Gary Cowan, following an incident in Paisley on May 6, 2024.
It took place just after a car crashed into a police vehicle.
The 32-year-old, who is from Albania, had earlier been told to expect a “significant penalty” for the crime.
When the case called at the High Court in Glasgow on yesterday, sentencing was adjourned to January 20 as a criminal justice social work report had not been prepared.
