Saints boss wants to add pace to attack before the transfer window slams shut

Stephen Robinson is preparing for a nervy transfer deadline day as he looks for the missing piece in his St Mirren jigsaw.

The Buddies gaffer wants one more new signing before the transfer window slams shut at 7pm.

He has a list of “three or four” potential targets but conceded one of his current crop will have to leave in order to create room.

Attention turned to the deadline day moving and shaking after Rocky Bushiri cancelled out Miguel Freckleton’s opener to earn Hibernian a 1-1 Premiership draw with the Buddies at Easter Road.

“We want a striker with pace in and I’ve made that very clear,” Robbo said.

“When you are playing against teams like Hibs, Hearts, Celtic and Rangers, you have that opportunity to break away.
