Rachael's Buddie chat is reaching a global audience on town's hit radio station
Paisley Daily Express
|May 31, 2025
Meet the radio presenter who is helping a Renfrewshire station reach seven million listeners a month.
Rachael Smith, who hosts Buddie Talk on Paisley Radio, has been bringing local stories and news to people in Renfrewshire and across the world.
Having joined the online radio station earlier this year, Rachael is passionate about giving local people a platform to tell their stories.
And audience figures are on the rise after Paul Wycherley launched the platform in 2020.
Rachael's show sees folk from various Renfrewshire organisations and businesses such as Finding Your Feet, RAMH [Recovery Across Mental Health] and Haus of Seisay share their experiences.
"I'm doing a show called Buddie Talk every week and the idea is that I talk to people from the local area," she told the Express.
"It doesn't need to be Paisley specifically; just Paisley, Renfrewshire and surrounding area with people that are maybe doing things in the region.
