It has been a busy few weeks for me and my team in the constituency.

Passenger safety is top priority

Passenger safety Alison Taylor MP has been looking into safety on trains and at unmanned stations

While parliament has been in recess for the party conference season, I have been able to spend more time in the constituency visiting local organisations, businesses and people.

Here are just a few of the things I have been up to in the last two weeks.

Earlier this year, I raised concerns in parliament about passenger safety at train stations, particularly those that are unstaffed.

Network Rail and ScotRail invited me to visit the CCTV monitoring facility at Paisley Gilmour Street Station last week. I learnt about how the team there offer support to people at unstaffed stations.

I also met with the Travel Safe Team, who work closely with the British Transport Police to keep passengers safe on trains and in stations.

Historical works of Barts

THERE'S no delicate way to put this, so I'll just have to tell it as it is. Halfway through this programme, we watch a poor woman having her legs removed. And it's done while she's wide awake. But, as dreadful as this makes me sound, I have to say it doesn't upset me that much.
