New credit union set to open tomorrow

A new credit union is to open its doors in Barrhead this week.

Pollok Credit Union has taken over the old Pioneer Mutual Credit Union (PCU) building on Main Street and has now confirmed the launch date for the new service.
An official opening was held on Thursday, October 9, with East Renfrewshire's Provost and council leader on the guest list.
The premises will now open to members of the public from tomorrow.
The PCU will then operate Tuesday to Thursday every week from 10am to 3pm, with this expected to increase post-Christmas.
