M8 works halted for festive period

Major roadworks on the M8 will be reduced or halted altogether over the festive period.

Amey, which is undertaking a major bridge refurbishment project at Hillington Interchange, says it will amend its schedule of works between Thursday, December 18 and Monday, January 5, 2026.
The company says all slip roads associated with the maintenance around junction 26 will reopen and operate as normal to accommodate festive travel and shopping.
