Labour vision set out at conference

By the time this column has gone to press I will have had the pleasure of attending the graduation of students from West College Scotland's Paisley campus at Paisley Town Hall.

I enjoy attending events like this as it can be an uplifting experience to see so people receiving the rewards of their hard work, knowing that some will continue in their studies at university whilst others make the first steps into the world of work and hopefully in their chosen career paths.

I am certain there will be lots of family members present, rightfully proud to see their loved one receive their certificates.

I wish all the graduates from Wednesday's ceremony the best of luck for their futures and hope that they look back at their time at West College Scotland with fond memories.

Lottery wins can come in all sizes and for sixteen local organisations and good causes in Paisley and Renfrewshire North they have won a combined total of £866,295 from the National Lottery charitable funding programmes.
