Investment to restore pride in communities

Trees will be planted, green spaces purchased and community-led clean up operations bolstered as part of efforts to increase people's pride in their neighbourhoods.

Renfrewshire Council -which recently committed to a host of grassroots projects as part of its 2026/27 budget - has provided more detail on how it will bolster communities across the region.

In a statement issued this week, the local authority said it would seek to better protect and maintain green spaces in Renfrewshire, committing in the first instance to an expansion of its tree replacement programme to address areas where trees have been removed due to issues like disease.
