Lights switch-on Festive walkabout characters delighted youngsters on Saturday

On the back of the incredible Halloween Festival, it was fantastic to see Paisley so busy once again as the lights were switched on at the weekend.

There was live music, carollers, a funfair, Christmas market with festive food and drinks, arts and crafts workshops and more, and it was great to see so many families and friends enjoying the day.

I think even Santa was spotted too!

Provost Cameron was joined by a special guest to switch on the lights as Alexander from Heriot Primary School hit the button after winning the Provost's Christmas card competition for Paisley.

There is something for all the family as we welcome in the festive season in Renfrewshire and Renfrew, Erskine, Johnstone and Linwood's events are still to come so visit www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/ events for all you need to know.
