A Johnstone mum was left sickened after her young son was “smacked” and racially abused while playing at the pool during their summer holiday to Egypt.
Clare Walker had flown out to a five-star hotel in the holiday resort of Sharm El-Sheikh with son Oba, four, and his big sister Sophia, 11.
The family were relaxing by their hotel pool when Clare saw another child hit her son across the head before hurling the N-word at him.
The vile incident was witnessed by Sophia who was so frightened she was left in tears.
Clare told our sister title, the Daily Record, she was horrified to hear racist slurs coming from another child.
The 38-year-old said: “We were sitting at the kids' pool and Oba was playing with an inflatable crocodile when another little boy around Oba's age came over and tried to grab it.
“The boy had a plastic water gun and he started hitting Oba on the head with it.
