Hard work leads to recognition

It's been fantastic to be a part of the community-led transformation and regeneration of Paisley over the years.

Everyone's hard work resulted in well-deserved national recognition when Paisley was named Scotland's Town of the Year last month.

The award, organised by Scotland's Towns Partnership, celebrates the towns across Scotland that are leading the way in creating vibrant, inclusive and sustainable communities.

Judges gave Paisley the title for reaching a “critical point” in its transformation following my SNP administration’s continuing investment in its future.

The new title reflects the scale and impact of the ongoing investment in the town’s cultural and civic infrastructure which is helping to attract new visitors, residents and businesses.
