Growing jobs in Renfrewshire

This September is employability month in Renfrewshire.

Employers across the authority, including WH Malcolm, Scottish Leather Group and Thermo Fisher, will hold events throughout the month to promote jobs, training and education, including jobs fairs, workshops, CV builder sessions, and school and college visits.

This will include a skills showcase on Wednesday, September 17, at UWS Paisley campus, working in the public sector on Tuesday, September 23, in Paisley Town Hall and a jobs fair at the Russell Institute on Thursday, September 25.

The council's very successful employability services have supported more than 1,900 residents in the past year to overcome barriers to work and secure employment, education and training opportunities.

We supported 528 people into employment, 150 people into education, training or volunteering, and 680 people into gaining qualifications.
